You’d think with a great URL like Date.com that they’d put some effort into the site itself. You’re sadly very, very wrong. Date.com just doesn’t care. It relies on traffic courtesy of its name, and during our Date review, we realized that there’s actually very little traffic to speak of in general.
That’s just disappointing.
We can only imagine how many people came to this site in hopes of actually getting an awesome date. Minus all the Date scams on the site, you’re really not going to be able to find much of anyone actively making this site part of their daily rounds.
This means that ultimately…there’s just no one here. You aren’t going to meet anyone because seriously, this site is dead. We’re not sure why they even bother keeping the site up and running. Sell that domain name and make a pretty penny; it’s definitely worth more than the site itself, and that’s something we don’t say very lightly.
Our Four Month Test: How Date.com Measured Up
We ended up spending a total of four months on our Date review, and during that time, we sent out a total of 250 e-mails to women that we really hoped weren’t just more Date scams.
The results were far from great.
From those 250 e-mails, we only ended up with a total of 44 responses. This was utterly pathetic, and really made us realize exactly how bad this site was overall. Not a single woman wanted to go out with us, either, which really disappointed us overall.
Why Date.com Didn’t Work (Is It a Scam?)
This site is empty and dead. If that isn’t clear enough why it’s an awful site, then seriously, just take a look at it. If you really expect to get a date on a site that is this empty, you’re very wrong.
It’s nothing but a time waster.
Trying to sit around and hope that someone comes along on a site like this is just a fool’s errand. You really aren’t going to be able to meet anyone on here, and that’s why we highly recommend looking the other way, and trying to find a site that’s actually active and fun.

Online video dates are on the rise, and while sites like Date.com are awful and will never cater to them, this article helps explain them: http://voices.yahoo.com/the-online-video-date-future-relationships-82956.html?cat=41
Date.com Verdict – Should You Be Using Date.com for Online Dating? (Hint: No)
We weren’t impressed by Date.com at all. This site is just one big waste of time, and that means that we highly recommend that you take your business elsewhere.
Instead, check out our number one site for online dating, Match.com. It’s one hell of a fun site, and there are a ton of ladies on there just waiting to meet you. That’s why we recommend everyone give it a shot at least once; it’s really worth it.
